Village of Emerson gets new fire hall

The Village of Emerson Volunteer Fire Department will soon be operating out of a new facility when a new $980,000 structure is completed this spring on north Main Street in Emerson.

Dick McCabe, Village Utility Superintendent and Fire Chief, said the new five bay structure will provide the department with ample space for fire equipment while a new community room and kitchen addition will provide training space for department members.

The Village also received $500 in traffic cones and safety apparel from a Lean on LARM Safety Grant from the League Association of Risk Management (LARM). LARM is an insurance pool made up of 167 governmental entities across the state. (Pictured: McCabe with new cones in front of new fire hall)
