Officers at the City of North Platte Police Department will benefit from a $500 Lean on LARM Safety Grant for ear protection devices. According to North Platte Police Department Lieutenant Kendall Allison, who applied for the grant, the devices are to be used to help reduce officers' hearing loss during firearms training.

The League Association of Risk Management (LARM) offers the safety grant to members for items that will promote safety in their communities.
