A $500 Lean on LARM Safety Grant was recently awarded to the Village of Paxton, Nebraska. Wade Turner, Paxton Utilities Superintendent, applied for the grant to be used for the installation of handrails and steps to a village diesel fuel tank.
"The tank is positioned approximately three feet above ground on a cement pad. Two of the sides are at ground level and the other two require railings to avoid a fall and potential liability. The fuel tank will be utilized by the Village and the volunteer fire department," Turner said.
The League Association of Risk Management (LARM) provides the safety grant to its members for items that will contribute to safety in the community.
PIctured is Wade Turner, Paxton Utilities Superintendent.
