City of Oakland utilizes Lean on LARM Safety Grant

Several departments in the City of Oakland, Nebraska, have benefited from a Lean on LARM Safety Grant. Kayla Eisenmenger, Oakland City Clerk, applied for safety signs and apparel for the city as part of the grant application.

"The library needs a "One Way" sign plus a "Watch for children" sign for the back portion of the building for when they do activities with citizens, as well as a safety reminder for people to slow down and watch which way they are driving. Other departments are the Street / Water/Sewer /Park as this sign " Road Work Ahead" x2 will be beneficial in multiple areas when the guys are doing any kind of work within their departments. These signs can and will be placed in a visible spot for citizens to be cautious of what is going on around them," Eisenmenger wrote as part of the application.

High-visibility gloves were also purchased for city employees' use.

The League Association of Risk Management (LARM) offers the $500 Lean on LARM Safety Grant to members to purchase items that improve safety in their communities.
