The Village of Allen is utilizing solar energy to provide power for a security camera at the village's waste area. Gunner Tracy, Village of Allen Utilities Superintendent, applied for and received a $500 Lean on LARM Safety Grant to purchase the camera.  In the application, Tracy said the security camera with solar powered charging would be useful to monitor the area and prevent unauthorized dumping of items. The League Association of Risk Management (LARM) offers the grant to LARM members to purchase safety supplies for their communities.
