
Mindy Rump, Mayor of the City of Blair, was elected as a member of the League Association of Risk Management (LARM) Board of Directors at the LARM Annual Meeting in October, 2024. The City of Blair has been a member of LARM since 2021.
Active in the Blair community her entire life, Mindy said she has seen first-hand the positive influence that service and volunteerism can have on a community. She is a mother, teacher, and owner of Washington Street Preschool located in downtown Blair.
Mindy served on the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Board for six years. She also was a board member of the Memorial Community Hospital (MCH) Auxiliary for six years and served one term as board president. She served two terms on the MCH Foundation Board of Directors and has been active in several local philanthropic organizations, including P.E.O. and Beta Sigma Phi.
Mindy has been involved in her church community as part of the Children's Ministry Committee and singing in the church choir. She also sits on the Early Childhood Advisory Committee for Blair Community Schools.
Before being elected as the first female mayor of the City of Blair two years ago, Mindy was a Councilwoman representing Ward 3. As mayor, Mindy represents the City of Blair on the League of Nebraska Municipalities Legislative Committee and serves on the LARM Board of Directors.
Mindy and her husband, Marty, have two sons- Morgan, who just finished college, and Maxwell, a junior at Blair High School.
