New board member Alec Baillie

Alec Baillie is one of the newest League Association of Risk Management (LARM) Board of Directors members. He serves as a member of the Loup Central Landfill Board of Directors. The landfill has been a member of LARM since 2014.

Alec is a former mayor of the City of Loup City, serving in that capacity for eight years. He is a native of Loup City and, after attending Hasting College and graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in economics, he worked in the insurance industry in Lincoln. He then returned to the Loup City area, where he owns and operates an antique, plant, and gift shop. Alec also enjoys woodworking and building in his spare time.

He and his wife, Patrice, have three children, three grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.

Alec said he is glad to be able to contribute to LARM. “LARM is essential to protecting our public entities, especially those organizations with high-risk classifications. As a board member, I look forward to learning more about risk management pools,” Alec said.

There are 15 LARM board members made up of elected and appointed individuals from government entities that are LARM members across the state. For a list of all the LARM Board members, go to larmpool.org.
