The Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska (SWANN) received a $500 Lean on LARM Safety Grant for safety gloves and high-visibility safety shirts. Jack Stewart, SWANN Executive Director, applied for the grant to help provide employees with high visibility shirts so they can be seen by drivers and the public backing into the transfer station. Stewart said the puncture proof gloves would help reduce the risk of getting cut or injured in pinch points.
