Stephanie Fisher, City Administrator for the City of Waverly, is the newest LARM board member. She was elected at the September 2025 LARM Annual Members meeting, and her three-year term began January 1, 2026.
“I grew up in Auburn, Nebraska, where both of my parents set examples of public service; Mom was the Nemaha County Treasurer for 38 years, and Dad was an Auburn City Council Member for 16 years. After my mom retired from the county, my dad was elected and served as a Nemaha County Commissioner for four years,” Fisher said.
In Auburn, Fisher became active in the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, the Auburn Economic Development Corporation, and the Auburn Community Redevelopment Authority.
“All of these were volunteer positions to serve my community. When I heard about the City Administrator position opening in Waverly in 2017, I thought it was a great way to combine those service efforts into a new career,” Fisher said.
Besides serving as the City Administrator, Fisher is also a Waverly Chamber of Commerce Board Member and has been in charge of organizing the 4th of July parade in Waverly for the last five years.
Fisher also serves as an Ex-Officio Member of the Waverly Economic Development Corporation. She’s a member of a Scatter Kindness ladies’ group and is actively involved in her church and its Clothing Ministry. Fisher has two grown children with families of their own, including four grandchildren.
Besides serving the LARM Board of Directors, Fisher is also on the League of Nebraska Municipalities Legislative Committee for Small Communities.
“LARM has been a great resource for the City of Waverly, and I’m excited to be a part of the board that oversees its operations,” Fisher said.
