The City of Falls City recently purchased two spinal backboards for the Falls City Aquatic Center using funds from a $500 Lean on LARM Safety Grant. 

Briar Burr, City of Falls City Parks and Recreation Director, applied for the grant to aid staff in aquatic rescue operations.

"The addition of updated spinal backboards will enhance the Aquatic Center’s ability to maintain a safe environment for both patrons and staff while supporting comprehensive, hands-on emergency response training," Burr said.

The League Association of Risk Management (LARM) offers the grant to its members to purchase safety items for their communities.
